"My wife and I started this website so that we could share with others looking to improve their financial situation. The cost of living around us never ceases to stop going up. When we add the expenses of raising our children (keeping their bellies full, school costs, extracurricular activities to name a few) in addition to home and transportation costs, sometimes the income we bring in are tested to levels we don't like. The skills that we share on this site were developed over many years through our family's experience with budgeting, finding creative ways to save on purchases we make every week, and purchases we make for travel, holidays, and other occasions. Furthermore, the tips we share here on our website are not meant to make you rich. Rather, the goal of this website is to make sure your hard earned money goes far as well as find opportunities to earn some extra cash so that you may put some of the earned money toward investments for your future.

365 Recession Living is as the name indicates. If you can harness the methods of living smartly and cheaply (but not the same as living poorly), not living beyond your financial means where you max out your credit card every day, we are confident that you can make your money work hard for you so that life can be more enjoyable and less stressful."

With the exception of some that we explicitly note, we've tried all of the products and services that we share on our blog. We continue to use many of them today because we've found the products and services useful to us and our children. If we find something better in the future, we may switch it up.
